This page details our plans for the Gun Data Feed by the Texas Technology Group — this is our Planning & Development Road Map.
There are many data feeds for the firearms industry. We have 29 on our list currently. How many are on yours? This project started as a small request from a client and has grown into something we plan to support and invest time into. The market seems underserved, and the solutions are expensive and unreliable. We have seen many costly solutions and studied them. Most rely on backend systems that could be more complex and easier to work with. The front end of many of these solutions is extremely dated and lacks customization and modern, customizable theme options. Typically, you only get one of these negatives, but in the firearms space, you get stuck with both, expensive and lacking customization.
We have put together a table of the distributors we plan to support. Please let us know if we need to include anything you consider critical. Please check back to this page. It will be a running change log of information on developing these feeds.

Updates
Nov 4, 2024 – Updates
FFL Check Plugin was accepted by WP and listed on their site.
Feed Plugin was updated and many bugs addressed, the import engine was improved and optimized so that the feeds tab has almost instant updates. We are working on distributor feeds. Unfortunately we have hit a snag because we need customers with feeds in order to develop the feeds if you have a distributor feed we have listed and are willing to work with us please contact us and we will get you the plugin for helping us!
We decided not to do full order fulfillment due to a multitude of issues but the biggest being every customer wants something different. Our plan is to do order fulfillment on orders that contain only single products.
We added more functionality to product rules and pricing rules, for example you can create rules with start and end dates, this allows you to quickly create MAP holidays.
Products can be placed in any categories and those will not be changed even when the feeds are updated.
We are finishing the new plugin version for the WordPress store, we are adding priority to the pricing rules, and we are working on special pricing rules for products that have MAP.
We have an issue with Sports South a bug that is not showing MSRP pricing — everything is working but this and we are working with them to address it.
July 29, 2024 – Group A Development Update
FEEDS
We are currently working on Group A. These feeds are done and being tested; we will deploy them to the demo site the week of July 29th, 2024. People have raised concerns about WordPress’s speed with this large catalog of products, and we want to dispel those concerns. We have a developer who specializes in tuning WP to make it fast, and he has given talks on WP speed even with Woo catalogs that have 100,000 products or more. We will NOT tune the demo site so you can see the speed unturned with our solution. The engineering behind our solution greatly differs from the other WP or SAAS offerings for this market.
